Photography Performance
AP224MC uses a SONY IMX224 CMOS sensor with Exmor and NIR Technology, 1/3″ and 1.2M pixels , the ultra-low read noise is 0.5e- to 3e-, adopt unique hardware amplifier glow control circuit to significantly reduce amplifier glow, high sensitivity in IR range, in some indicators, AP224MC is comparable to sCMOS or EMCCD cameras so it is a best choice for astronomy and microscopy photography.
The “lucky imaging” method used in planetary imaging uses many short exposures to freeze the effects of atmospheric scintillation. Multiple short exposures instead of one long exposure can better freeze this movement. The stacking software will filter out the images taken during poor moments of seeing, and retain those taken at the good time. Therefore, before the rotation of the planet becomes a factor, people need to take as many images as possible in a short time. Therefore, a high frame rate is very important for planetary imaging.

Warranty and Return Policies
We provide a 3-year warranty for our products, during this period, we will provide free maintenance services. After the warranty period ends, we will continue to provide repair maintenance support and technical services. We do not provide any replacement unless Astcampan company confirms that the product is damaged and cannot be used when it arrives.
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by abuse or misuse, nor does it apply to damage caused by falling or any other transportation failure after purchase.
The customer must pay the shipping fee when returning the camera for repair or replacement. If we confirm that you can get a replacement of all the purchased goods, you should return the damaged good with all accessories, manuals, etc., and these items must be properly packaged.
If your received camera malfunctions or is a faulty camera, please contact us via email as soon as possible: sales@astcampan.com . Please describe the problem and faults in detail, we will do our best to help you solve the problem and faults. In most cases, these problems are caused by incorrect driver installation or software configuration.
If your camera needs warranty repair, we will provide you with a repair and maintence approval number. We reject any returns without a repair and maintence approval number!
For customers who purchase cameras from our distributors, the distributor is responsible for providing customer service for you.
